Vietnam Welcomes US-Iran Peace Deal, Calls for Swift Implementation

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Vietnam has welcomed the announcement by the United States and Iran that they have reached a peace agreement, expressing hope that the deal will contribute to lasting stability in the Middle East and beyond.

Speaking on Monday, Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Phạm Thu Hằng said Vietnam highly appreciates the efforts undertaken by all parties to achieve the agreement.

Responding to questions from reporters regarding Vietnam’s reaction to the announcement, Hằng stated that the country views the development as a positive step toward regional and international peace.

“We call on the relevant parties to proceed with the early signing and full implementation of the agreement, creating conditions for reaching a comprehensive and sustainable solution that brings peace and stability to the Middle East, including the Strait of Hormuz, on the basis of international law and the Charter of the United Nations,” she said.

The spokesperson emphasized that the successful implementation of the agreement would serve the interests of countries across the region while promoting peace, stability, cooperation and development at both regional and global levels.

Vietnam reaffirmed its support for peaceful dialogue, respect for international law and diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving disputes and strengthening international security.
