Zelenskyy Visits Azerbaijan as Talks with Ilham Aliyev Focus on Expanding Cooperation

Gabala, The Gulf Observer: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Azerbaijan on a working visit, where he held one-on-one and expanded talks with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on April 25.
During the meetings in Gabala, both leaders warmly recalled their previous engagements and expressed confidence that the visit would further enhance bilateral relations. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation across a range of sectors, including energy and agriculture, as well as strengthening the activities of the Azerbaijan–Ukraine Intergovernmental Commission.
The two sides exchanged views on deepening economic collaboration and exploring new avenues for partnership, reflecting the growing engagement between the two countries.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also conveyed his appreciation to Azerbaijan for its humanitarian assistance to Ukraine, particularly the support extended to Ukrainian children. It was noted that a group of Ukrainian students is expected to visit Azerbaijan in the near future for rehabilitation and to gain exposure to Azerbaijani culture and arts.
The visit underscores ongoing efforts by both nations to expand cooperation and maintain close dialogue amid evolving regional dynamics.
