President Tokayev Addresses Expanded Meeting of Kazakhstan’s Law-Enforcement Agencies

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev chaired an extended meeting of the board of Kazakhstan’s law-enforcement agencies, marking a significant step in consolidating institutional efforts to strengthen public security and uphold the rule of law.
In his remarks, the Head of State congratulated police officers and civil servants on their professional holidays, emphasizing that serving the state is both an honorable and deeply responsible mission. “You make an important contribution to ensuring law and order, and to safeguarding the rights and legitimate interests of our citizens,” President Tokayev stated.
He stressed that in the face of increasing global uncertainty, the reinforcement of public security and strict adherence to legal norms have become more crucial than ever. Highlighting the unique format of the gathering, the President noted, “For the first time, we are holding a joint meeting of the board of the law-enforcement agencies. This reflects the need to consolidate the efforts of all relevant structures.”
President Tokayev also underlined the importance of public engagement in maintaining law and order, affirming that active citizen participation plays a key role in fostering a lawful and secure society.
The meeting brought together a wide range of participants, including heads of central and local executive authorities, members of parliament, legal experts, and public activists. The event provided a platform for exchanging views on law enforcement reform, enhancing cooperation among institutions, and promoting transparency and accountability.
Earlier reports had confirmed that President Tokayev would convene this expanded board meeting on June 23 as part of ongoing efforts to modernize Kazakhstan’s law-enforcement system.
