President Prabowo to Unveil Theme and Logo for Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day Celebrations

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President Prabowo Subianto is set to officially launch the theme and logo for Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day celebrations at a ceremony to be held at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday, July 18.

Deputy Minister of State Secretary Juri Ardiantoro confirmed the announcement on Thursday, stating, “He will personally announce the theme and logo tomorrow.” The launch event will be attended by several cabinet ministers, the designers of the official logo, and key stakeholders involved in organizing the national celebrations.

Ardiantoro emphasized that once unveiled, the theme and logo are expected to be widely adopted by the public, regional administrations, and government institutions to enliven the spirit of the historic milestone. “After the launch, the logo is expected to be used by the public, regional administrations, and central government agencies in various decorations installed outdoors, especially in strategic locations,” he added.The Presidential Communication Office (PCO) earlier announced that this year’s Independence Day celebrations will return to Jakarta, following last year’s commemoration in the future capital Nusantara.“At present, the celebrations are scheduled to take place in Jakarta,” stated PCO head Hasan Nasbi during a press conference on Wednesday.

He also noted that the organizing committee for the 80th Independence Day has been established under the leadership of State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, with the PCO playing an active role in coordinating the preparations.President Prabowo’s unveiling of the official theme and logo will mark the beginning of the nationwide promotional campaign in the lead-up to the August 17 celebrations.
