Ethiopian Envoy Meets Special Assistant to PM Tariq Fatemi, Discusses Bilateral and Climate Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Dr. Jemal Beker Abdullah, Ambassador of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to Pakistan, met with Mr. Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Pakistan on Foreign Affairs, at his office in the Prime Minister’s Office, Islamabad.

During the meeting, the two sides held constructive and productive discussions on further strengthening bilateral and multilateral cooperation to deepen the brotherly relations between Ethiopia and Pakistan.

Dr. Jemal Beker Abdullah briefed Mr. Fatemi on the launch of the Green Legacy Drive by the Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad, to be held across various cities of Pakistan from August 15 to 25, 2025. The initiative will include Green Dialogues and Mass Plantation Campaigns with high-level participation from Ethiopia.

The Ambassador expressed his gratitude to Mr. Tariq Fatemi for his kind words regarding the joint efforts of the Government and People of Ethiopia with Pakistan to combat the existential threat of climate change. Dr. Jemal Beker Abdullah also expressed hope for Mr. Fatemi’s continued support in further strengthening bilateral ties.
