UAE President Holds Talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and His Excellency Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, held high-level talks in Cairo today aimed at strengthening fraternal relations and expanding bilateral cooperation to support the development goals of both nations.

The meeting, held at Al-Ittihadiya Palace during His Highness’ fraternal visit to Egypt, focused on enhancing collaboration across multiple sectors, particularly in economic, trade, and development fields.

During the discussions, the leaders reviewed regional and international issues of mutual concern, including developments in the Middle East and the growing international recognition of the State of Palestine. Both leaders reaffirmed that a two-state solution remains the only viable path toward achieving a just and lasting peace, as well as fostering security and stability for all countries and peoples in the region.

The UAE President and Egyptian President also expressed support for all efforts and initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and reaching a permanent resolution to the ongoing crisis.

Highlighting the unprecedented regional challenges, the two leaders emphasized the urgent need to strengthen joint Arab action to safeguard regional security and stability and to promote sustainable prosperity for their peoples.

The meeting was attended by a delegation that included H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President; as well as several ministers and senior officials.

At the conclusion of his fraternal visit, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed departed Cairo, with President El-Sisi seeing him off at Cairo International Airport.
