Iran and Indonesia Poised to Deepen Bilateral Cooperation

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei has stated that both Iran and Indonesia are fully prepared to enhance their bilateral cooperation across all areas of mutual interest.
In a post on his official account on the X platform on Wednesday, Baghaei referred to his recent meeting with Roliansyah Sumirat, the Indonesian Ambassador to Iran, expressing satisfaction with the strong and growing ties between Tehran and Jakarta.
Baghaei described the discussion as “cordial and fruitful,” noting that it took place on the eve of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two nations.
Iran and Indonesia first established diplomatic relations in 1955 at a lower level, which were subsequently upgraded to the ambassadorial level in 1963.
Since the victory of the Islamic Revolution, bilateral relations between the two countries have remained warm and friendly, with both sides showing a strong commitment to advancing cooperation in political, economic, and cultural fields.
