UAE and Iran Hold Second Round of Political Consultations in Tehran

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: The second session of political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran was held in Tehran, hosted by the Iranian side.
The consultations were co-chaired by Lana Nusseibeh, Minister of State of the United Arab Emirates, and Majid Takht Ravanchi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of Iran. The meeting was attended by Khalid Belhoul, Ambassador of the UAE to Iran, Reza Ameri, Ambassador of Iran to the UAE, along with senior officials from both sides.
Both parties welcomed the consultations as an important platform to address a wide range of issues of mutual concern. Discussions focused on bilateral relations and practical mechanisms to advance shared interests for the benefit of both countries and their peoples. The two sides also reviewed several foreign policy files, including recent regional developments impacting peace and security, as well as ongoing efforts to address related challenges.
The consultations concluded with an agreement to maintain regular coordination and to activate joint technical committees, aimed at accelerating the implementation of existing agreements and exploring new avenues for cooperation.
During her visit to Tehran, Minister Nusseibeh was also received by Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran. She conveyed the greetings of Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, and held discussions on issues related to regional peace and security.
