London, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan and the United Kingdom have signed a series of bilateral documents aimed at strengthening cooperation in the fields of education and culture, according to a statement issued by the British Embassy in Turkmenistan on Friday.

The agreements were concluded during the visit of a Turkmen delegation to London to participate in the inaugural Central Asia–UK Ministerial Summit held on February 26. The documents were signed between relevant Turkmen ministries and leading British educational institutions and companies.

The newly signed agreements encompass cooperation in archaeology, language education, professional skills development, and access to internationally recognized qualifications.

Under the framework of cooperation, the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan signed an agreement with the UCL Institute of Archaeology to enhance collaboration in archaeological research and academic exchange.

The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan formalized memorandums of understanding with AQA Global Assessment Services Ltd and National Computer Systems, focusing on assessment services and educational technologies.

In addition, the National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan signed a memorandum with the Norwich Institute for Language Education to promote language education initiatives and professional training.

The Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammet Azadi concluded an agreement with Nottingham Trent University to expand academic cooperation and strengthen international educational standards.

The implementation of these agreements is expected to create new opportunities for academic exchange, institutional development, and enhanced access to globally recognized qualifications. Officials view the partnerships as a strategic investment in knowledge, professional skills, and the future generation of Turkmenistan, reinforcing bilateral ties between Ashgabat and London in the educational and cultural spheres.
