UAE Foreign Minister Holds High-Level Calls, Condemns Iran’s Missile Attacks and Urges Global Cooperation

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates, held a series of telephone conversations with senior officials and foreign ministers to discuss the repercussions of Iran’s unprovoked missile attacks targeting the UAE and several countries in the region.

During the calls, Sheikh Abdullah engaged with William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya; Fuad Mohammed Hussein, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq; Téte António, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Angola; and Amir Khan Muttaqi, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of Afghanistan.

The discussions focused on the serious implications of these developments for regional security and stability, as well as their potential impact on the global economy and energy markets.

Sheikh Abdullah and the participating officials strongly condemned the missile attacks, describing them as a blatant violation of international law and the Charter of the United Nations. They emphasized that such actions pose a direct threat to the sovereignty and security of states, while undermining regional stability.

The leaders reaffirmed the right of the affected countries to take all necessary measures, in accordance with international law, to safeguard their territorial integrity and ensure the safety of their citizens, residents, and visitors.

During the conversations, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed expressed appreciation for the solidarity extended by friendly and brotherly nations toward the UAE, assuring that all residents and visitors within the country remain safe and secure.

The talks also underscored the importance of enhancing international coordination and joint efforts to maintain regional and global peace and stability, while advancing the shared aspirations of nations for inclusive and sustainable development.
