Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received Kazakhstan’s Foreign Minister Yermek Kosherbayev on March 31 during his official visit, reaffirming the deepening strategic partnership between the two neighboring nations.

During the meeting, the Kazakh foreign minister conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to President Mirziyoyev. Both sides engaged in comprehensive discussions on enhancing bilateral friendship, strategic cooperation, and allied relations.

The leaders expressed satisfaction over the steady development of ties across multiple levels, including parliaments, governments, regional administrations, and business communities. They noted the effective functioning of the joint Intergovernmental Commission, which continues to facilitate growing collaboration.

Trade between the two countries has shown consistent growth, with expanding cooperation in key sectors such as industry, energy, transportation, environmental protection, and water resource management.

Particular emphasis was placed on accelerating joint economic projects, strengthening collaboration in rare metals, increasing tourist exchanges, and enhancing humanitarian cooperation. This includes partnerships in emerging areas such as space exploration and the creative economy.

The meeting also highlighted the importance of thorough preparations for upcoming bilateral and multilateral engagements. Additionally, both sides exchanged views on pressing international and regional policy issues, underscoring their commitment to coordinated diplomatic efforts.
