Azerbaijan Dispatches New Humanitarian Aid Shipment to Iran on Presidential Orders

Baku: Azerbaijan has sent another batch of humanitarian assistance to the Iran on April 4, following directives from President Ilham Aliyev to support the needs of the neighboring country.

The aid initiative comes in the wake of a telephone conversation held on March 8 between President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, reflecting continued solidarity and cooperation between the two nations.

According to official details, the total volume of assistance amounts to 200 tons, comprising 190 tons of food supplies, 7 tons of pharmaceuticals, and 3 tons of medical equipment. The humanitarian cargo was transported via ten trucks.

The convoy is being accompanied by authorized representatives from the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the State Reserves Agency of Azerbaijan, who have traveled to Iran to supervise the delivery process.

The latest shipment underscores Azerbaijan’s commitment to providing humanitarian support and strengthening bilateral relations with Iran during times of need.
