President Ilham Aliyev Receives Official Welcome in Tbilisi
Tbilisi, The Gulf Observer: An official welcome ceremony was held on April 6 in Tbilisi for the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, marking the start of his official visit to Georgia.
A guard of honor was lined up to receive President Ilham Aliyev upon his arrival. The President of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, warmly welcomed the Azerbaijani leader at the ceremony.
The chief of the guard of honor reported to President Aliyev, after which the national anthems of Azerbaijan and Georgia were played.
Following the formalities, the two presidents reviewed the guard of honor, walking along the ceremonial formation in accordance with official protocol.
