Iran, Oman Review Bilateral Ties and Regional Developments in High-Level Call
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Abbas Araghchi and his Omani counterpart Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi held a telephone conversation on Sunday to assess bilateral relations and discuss ongoing developments in the region.
During the call, the two foreign ministers exchanged views on issues of mutual concern, with particular focus on diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel against Iran.
Araghchi also briefed his Omani counterpart on a newly delivered proposal to Pakistan, which is acting as a mediator in potential negotiations with the United States. The initiative is aimed at achieving a lasting resolution to the conflict and fostering long-term peace in the region.
The discussion reflects the continued close coordination between Iran and Oman on both bilateral and regional matters. The two countries share longstanding friendly ties and maintain regular consultations, underpinned by their geographic proximity and a shared, though undefined, maritime boundary in the Persian Gulf.
