Vietnamese Leaders Pay Tribute to President Hồ Chí Minh on 136th Birth Anniversary in Hanoi

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: A high-level delegation representing the Party Central Committee, State President, National Assembly, and Government of Vietnam laid a wreath at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum on Tuesday to pay tribute to late President Ho Chi Minh on the occasion of his 136th birth anniversary (May 19, 1890–2026).
The ceremony was attended by Politburo members, including General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and State President Tô Lâm, Prime Minister Lê Minh Hưng, National Assembly Chairman Trần Thanh Mẫn, and permanent member of the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat Trần Cẩm Tú.
Former Party, State, and Government leaders also joined the commemoration, along with senior officials from ministries, agencies, and mass organisations. Later, a delegation from the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, led by Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, and VFF President Bùi Thị Minh Hoài, also offered floral tributes at the mausoleum.
Party and State leaders expressed profound respect and gratitude to President Hồ Chí Minh, crediting him with founding and nurturing the Communist Party of Việt Nam and making enduring contributions to the nation’s revolutionary cause. They reaffirmed the Party’s consistent commitment to the path he charted—linking national independence with socialism—and to the continued creative application of Marxism-Leninism and Hồ Chí Minh Thought.
They also emphasized ongoing efforts to strengthen the Party’s leadership capacity and governance effectiveness to advance the country’s comprehensive renewal process. In line with President Hồ Chí Minh’s ideology and moral example, Party committees, authorities, and mass organisations across all levels are accelerating the implementation of Politburo Directive No. 05-CT/TW, aiming to fulfil the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress and guide the country into a new stage of development.
At the Monument to Heroic Martyrs on Bac Son Street, leaders also offered incense in memory of those who sacrificed their lives for national liberation, independence, freedom, and the happiness of the people.
On the same morning, separate delegations from the Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defence, the Central Public Security Party Committee and Ministry of Public Security, and the Hanoi Party Committee, People’s Council, and People’s Committee also visited the mausoleum and the martyrs’ monument to pay homage to President Hồ Chí Minh and fallen heroes.
