Oman, Japan Foreign Ministers Discuss Bilateral Ties

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Oman’s Foreign Minister, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, received a telephone call from Japan’s Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi on Tuesday, during which the two sides discussed bilateral relations and regional developments.
According to a statement, the ministers reviewed the longstanding friendship and cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and Japan and explored ways to further strengthen and expand collaboration across various sectors in line with the mutual interests of both countries.
The conversation also focused on recent regional developments, particularly the understanding reached between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both ministers welcomed the development and emphasized the importance of supporting regional and international efforts aimed at ensuring the success of the agreement.
They noted that the implementation of the understanding could help reduce tensions in the region and create favorable conditions for enhancing security and stability.
The two foreign ministers further stressed the need to safeguard the security and safety of maritime navigation in the region, underscoring the importance of adherence to the principles of international law in maintaining peace and stability in international waterways.
