Tajikistan Presents UN Resolution on International Day for Safe, Secure and Trustworthy AI at OSCE Meeting

Prague, The Gulf Observer: Tajikistan presented a United Nations General Assembly resolution on the International Day for Safe, Secure and Trustworthy Artificial Intelligence during the annual meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) on economic and environmental issues in Prague.
According to the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Austria, the resolution was adopted by the UN General Assembly on August 31, 2026, following an initiative put forward by Tajikistan.
Speaking at the OSCE meeting, Tajikistan’s Permanent Representative to the OSCE, Manuchehr Jobir, said the adoption of the resolution represented a continuation of the consistent policy pursued by President of Tajikistan and Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon in promoting artificial intelligence, emerging technologies and their responsible use.
He emphasized that the initiative provides a favorable foundation for strengthening international cooperation and facilitating the exchange of advanced experience in the field of artificial intelligence.
The presentation underscored Tajikistan’s efforts to promote international dialogue on the safe, secure and trustworthy development and application of artificial intelligence and emerging technologies.
