Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Erdogan hold meeting in Budapest

Budapest, The Gulf Observer: The meeting of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan took place in Budapest.

Issues of further strengthening comprehensive strategic partnership and enhancing multifaceted collaboration between Uzbekistan and Türkiye were considered.

The ongoing intensive contacts and exchanges within the framework of the implementation of agreements at the highest level were noted with satisfaction.

There is a noticeable increase in indicators of mutual trade. On July 1 this year, the Preferential Trade Agreement entered into force. The number of joint ventures has exceeded 2.5 thousand.

Uzbekistan and Türkiye leaders welcomed the plans of the leading companies of the two countries to implement investment projects in priority sectors of the economy.

The schedule of bilateral and multilateral events was considered, including preparing the next joint Strategic Cooperation Council meeting, the upcoming summits of the Organization of Turkic States, and the Economic Cooperation Organization this year.
