Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: Indonesian Presidential candidate Anies Baswedan articulated his commitment to establishing Indonesian culture houses in various countries to showcase the nation’s rich and diverse cultural heritage should he secure victory in the upcoming election.

This pledge was made during the third presidential debate organized by the General Election Commission (KPU) in Jakarta, where Anies responded to inquiries regarding strategies to promote Indonesia’s popular culture. He emphasized the importance of allocating the necessary budget for this initiative, highlighting it as an investment in the nation’s future. Anies underscored his comprehensive vision, detailing plans for inclusive collaboration with citizens, especially the youth, in driving his cultural diplomacy agenda.

He expressed the intention to engage everyone, including the diaspora, students, and migrants, in fostering diplomatic ties through cultural exchange. This commitment aligns with the broader themes discussed during the third debate, focusing on defense, security, and foreign policy. The KPU has officially identified three pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates, with Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar being one of them.
