President BRISD Strengthens Ties with Sri Lanka

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: In a significant diplomatic engagement, President Belt and Road Initiative for Sustainable Development (BRISD) Qaiser Nawab held discussions with H.E. Admiral Ravindra C Wijegunaratne (Retd.), the esteemed High Commissioner of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. The meeting, held at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Islamabad, underscored the shared commitment to advancing the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) for sustainable development.

High Commissioner Wijegunaratne expressed admiration for the vision and mission of BRISD, acknowledging the potential benefits it holds for Sri Lanka. He assured his unwavering support in promoting and facilitating the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative within the borders of Sri Lanka.

The High Commissioner also welcomed Mr. Nawab’s commitment to fostering bilateral cooperation, with a specific emphasis on youth-oriented initiatives. Both agreed to explore and enhance avenues of collaboration, particularly through youth exchange programs, aiming to strengthen people-to-people connections between the two nations.
