Qatar and UN Collaborate on Humanitarian Initiatives for Gaza

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Her Excellency Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, the Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, held a crucial meeting with Her Excellency Sigrid Kaag, the UN Under-Secretary-General and Senior Humanitarian and Reconstruction Coordinator for Gaza. The meeting, taking place during H.E. Kaag’s official visit to the country, centered on pressing matters related to the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
Discussions delved into the latest developments in the region, with a particular focus on the United Nations’ mechanisms aimed at expediting the delivery of humanitarian aid shipments to the Palestinian people within the Gaza Strip. Both parties explored avenues to provide support to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA), highlighting the importance of regional and international efforts towards an immediate ceasefire.
