Vietnam Expresses Condolences to Russia Following Moscow Terrorist Attack

Ha Noi, The Gulf Observer: Acting State President Võ Thị Ánh Xuân conveyed heartfelt condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Saturday, expressing sympathy over the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall in Moscow on the evening of March 22, which resulted in numerous casualties.
Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính also extended condolences to his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin, while National Assembly Chairman Vương Đình Huệ sent messages of sympathy to Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko and Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin.
Minister of Foreign Affairs Bùi Thanh Sơn likewise expressed condolences to his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov.
Spokeswoman for the foreign ministry Phạm Thu Hằng issued a statement strongly condemning terrorism in all its forms, expressing confidence that the perpetrators will face stringent punishment in response to the heinous attack in Moscow.
“We are deeply appalled upon learning about this brutal terrorist attack and would like to extend our deepest condolences and sympathies to the Russian Government, people, and families of the victims,” she remarked.
As reported by the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia, no Vietnamese citizens have been reported as victims of the incident thus far.
In line with the directives from the ministry, the Vietnamese Embassy in Russia is closely liaising with local authorities to monitor the situation closely and stands ready to implement necessary protective measures should any Vietnamese citizens be affected.
The embassy has urged Vietnamese citizens in Russia to avoid crowded areas, remain vigilant about the situation, and promptly contact the embassy via the citizen protection hotline at +79166821617 or the citizen protection call center in Việt Nam at +84981848484 in case of emergencies.
As of Saturday afternoon, the death toll from the shooting rampage has risen to 93 people, with 11 suspects detained, according to the Kremlin.
