Algerian Foreign Minister Participates in Africa–South Korea Partnership Ministerial Meeting in Seoul

Seoul, The Gulf Observer: Algeria’s Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, National Community Abroad and African Affairs, Ahmed Ataf, participated on Tuesday in the Ministerial Meeting for Partnership between Africa and the Republic of Korea, held in Seoul.
The meeting focused on reviewing progress achieved in implementing the outcomes of the first Africa–Korea Summit, which was held in June 2024, and exploring ways to further strengthen cooperation between African countries and South Korea.
Participants assessed the advances made under the partnership framework and discussed strategies for expanding collaboration in support of Africa’s long-term development priorities.
The discussions also centered on aligning joint initiatives with the objectives of Agenda 2063, the African Union’s strategic framework aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth, regional integration, industrialization, and social development across the continent.
Officials emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, including investment, infrastructure, technology transfer, capacity building, education, and sustainable development.
The ministerial meeting underscored the shared commitment of African nations and South Korea to advancing a mutually beneficial partnership that contributes to economic development and prosperity while supporting the goals outlined in Agenda 2063.
The gathering forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen ties between Africa and South Korea following the inaugural Africa–Korea Summit and to translate its commitments into concrete development outcomes.
