Algerian President Tebboune Arrives in Oman

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria arrived in the Sultanate of Oman on Monday for a three-day state visit, warmly welcomed by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik at the Royal Airport in Muscat. His Majesty the Sultan personally greeted President Tebboune at the foot of the aircraft ramp, extending his best wishes for a fruitful visit and a pleasant stay.

Accompanying the Sultan in the reception were senior Omani officials, including HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs; Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court; Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’mani, Minister of the Royal Office; and Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, among others. Ambassador Saif bin Nassir Al Badaai of Oman and Ambassador Dr. Mohammed Ali Boughazi of Algeria also welcomed the delegation, with Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat, leading the mission of honor.

After a ceremonial guard of honor salute from the Royal Guard of Oman, the Sultan and the Algerian President proceeded to Al Alam Palace guesthouse.

President Tebboune is accompanied by an official delegation, including several key ministers such as Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, and Laaziz Faid, Minister of Finance, among others. The visit will focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation, exploring mutual interests, and discussing pressing regional and global issues, with an emphasis on advancing peace and regional stability.
