Azerbaijani Parliamentary Delegation Departs for Geneva to Attend Global Legislative Conferences

Baku, The Gulf Observer: A delegation of the Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis), led by Speaker Sahiba Gafarova, departed on July 27 for a working visit to Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in two major international parliamentary events.
The delegation will attend the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament, as well as the 15th Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament.
During the visit, Speaker Gafarova is scheduled to deliver keynote speeches at both forums, highlighting Azerbaijan’s legislative priorities and perspectives on global parliamentary cooperation. She is also expected to hold a series of bilateral meetings with the heads of delegations from various countries participating in the conferences.
The conferences, held under the auspices of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the United Nations, serve as key platforms for promoting inter-parliamentary dialogue, gender equality in politics, and multilateral cooperation on global challenges.
