Pakistan, Iran Review Security Arrangements for Second Phase of Islamabad Dialogue

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi met with Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Reza Amiri Moghaddam on Monday to review preparations for the second phase of the Islamabad Dialogue.
During the meeting, both sides discussed security and organizational arrangements for the upcoming talks and stressed the importance of finding sustainable solutions to regional tensions through diplomatic engagement and negotiations.
Minister Naqvi briefed the Iranian envoy on his recent visit to Iran and informed him that all preparations for the next round of the Islamabad Dialogue have been finalized. He assured that foolproof security measures are in place for all foreign delegations participating in the event.
The Iranian Ambassador appreciated Pakistan’s constructive and positive role in efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions.
Minister Naqvi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to its longstanding brotherly relations with Iran and emphasized that negotiations remain the only viable path forward in the Pakistan-Iran-US dispute. He stated that a lasting resolution is essential for ensuring peace and stability in the region.
The meeting was also attended by Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Inspector General of Islamabad Police, and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad.
Both sides expressed confidence that the second phase of the Islamabad Dialogue will contribute meaningfully to regional dialogue and cooperation.
