Kazakh Prime Minister Visits Kyrgyzstan
Bishkek, The Gulf Observer: Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov arrived in Kyrgyzstan for a crucial official visit aimed at discussing bilateral cooperation matters and preparing for the upcoming official visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to Astana, reported Arakoda.
During the meeting with Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov, the leaders deliberated on joint efforts to elevate bilateral trade turnover to $2 billion USD, emphasizing specific projects to reinforce trade and economic collaboration.
Prime Minister Bektenov expressed Kazakhstan’s readiness to enhance exports of 195 items valued at $260 million USD, highlighting significant potential in sectors such as food, construction, pharmaceuticals, and others. The planned construction of a cross-border industrial trade and logistics complex is expected to generate a multiplier effect, stimulating trade, economic, and investment cooperation between the two nations.
The discussions also encompassed cooperation in education, culture, and tourism, reflecting a comprehensive approach to strengthening ties across various domains. Following the talks, both parties affirmed their commitment to fulfilling the directives set by the Heads of State and advancing Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan cooperation to new heights.
The visit underscores the shared commitment to deepen bilateral relations and explore new avenues of cooperation that will benefit the economies and peoples of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
