Myanmar’s Mahn Nyein Maung Distributes Relief Aid to Displaced Civilians in Pantanaw Township

Pantanaw, The Gulf Observer: Myanmar’s State Administration Council (SAC) Member Mahn Nyein Maung, along with ministers from the Ayeyawady Region Government, participated in a relief aid ceremony held at Shwe Naw Thiri Hall (Community Centre) to support civilians displaced by recent violence in various areas of Pantanaw Township.
Opening the ceremony, Mahn Nyein Maung delivered brief remarks emphasizing the government’s commitment to providing humanitarian support to internally displaced persons (IDPs) and ensuring their welfare amid ongoing challenges.
Following the address, Colonel Moe Min Naing, Minister of Security and Border Affairs for Ayeyawady Region; U Saw Lin Khel, Minister for Ethnic Affairs; and U Myint Naing, Chairman of the Maubin District Administration Body, joined the SAC member in distributing relief items.
In total, 273 displaced individuals received assistance, with each beneficiary provided K40,000 in cash and one Pyi (approximately 1.6 to 1.8 kilograms) of rice. The relief funds were provided by the National Disaster Management Committee.
The ceremony marks part of a broader government effort to deliver immediate support to communities affected by violence and instability, while reaffirming its dedication to social protection and recovery in conflict-affected regions.
