Oman Participates in GCC Culture Undersecretaries Meeting
Kuwait, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman participated on Wednesday in the meeting of GCC Culture Undersecretaries, held in the State of Kuwait. The session serves as a preparatory meeting ahead of the 29th Meeting of GCC Ministers of Culture.
Oman was represented by Sayyid Said Sultan Al Busaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth for Culture.
The meeting covered several key agenda items, including the annual plan for joint Gulf events and activities, the Culture Statistics Platform that manages statistical data via the GCC Statistical Centre website, and the preparation of a Gulf Strategy for Cultural Creative Industries for 2027-2030. Discussions also focused on areas of joint cultural cooperation between the GCC states and various countries, as well as international institutions concerned with cultural affairs.
Additionally, the Undersecretaries reviewed the implementation of resolutions from the 28th Meeting of GCC Ministers of Culture, ensuring continuity and progress in regional cultural initiatives.
