Premier Li Meets with UAE President in Abu Dhabi to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Chinese Premier Li Qiang emphasized China’s commitment to deepening cooperation with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, with the goal of finalizing the China-GCC free trade agreement. Premier Li made these remarks during a meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi on Thursday.
Li expressed China’s willingness to expand bilateral trade with the UAE and explore cooperation in various sectors, including new energy, electric vehicles, high-end manufacturing, biomedicine, and the digital economy. He stressed the importance of developing forward-looking strategies for emerging industries and future industries, aiming to create new economic growth opportunities for both nations.
During the meeting, President Sheikh Mohamed reaffirmed the UAE’s support for the one-China principle and expressed his country’s readiness to be a reliable cooperative partner of China. He also highlighted the UAE’s desire to continue its role as a strategic partner in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, further solidifying the growing ties between the two nations.
The meeting underscores the strengthening partnership between China and the UAE, as both countries seek to enhance trade and cooperation in key sectors and advance regional economic integration.
