Putin to Visit Kazakhstan for High-Level Talks and CSTO Summit
Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin is scheduled to pay a state visit to Kazakhstan on November 27, 2024, at the invitation of his Kazakh counterpart, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The visit is expected to include high-level talks between the two leaders, focusing on strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation.
During the visit, Presidents Putin and Tokayev will participate in the 20th Kazakhstan-Russia Cross Border Cooperation Forum via videoconferencing, further cementing the strategic partnership between the two nations.
On November 28, President Tokayev will chair a regular meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Collective Security Council. The summit will address key regional and international security challenges, with several important documents anticipated to be adopted following the discussions.
Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu emphasized the significance of President Putin’s visit, highlighting its role in deepening the multifaceted partnership between Kazakhstan and Russia.
