Qatar Participates in Six-Party Arab Ministerial Meeting on Palestine in Cairo

Doha, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, participated in the six-party Arab ministerial meeting regarding the situation in Palestine, held today in Cairo at the invitation of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The meeting saw the participation of the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as the Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, representing the State of Palestine, and the Secretary-General of the Arab League.

The discussions centered on critical issues, including the prevention of displacement, the reinforcement of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza, and ensuring the adequate and sustainable delivery of humanitarian aid to all parts of the Gaza Strip. The necessity of supporting the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) and enabling it to fulfill its UN mandate was also emphasized during the meeting.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering stance against any attempts to displace the Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip. He warned that such actions would escalate tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories and exacerbate the suffering of the Palestinian people.

Qatar remains committed to working with regional and international partners to uphold the rights of the Palestinian people, support humanitarian efforts, and contribute to diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace in the region.
