Shavkat Mirziyoyev presents his Election Program in Jizzakh region
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The Presidential Candidate from the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Businesspeople – the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with voters from Jizzakh region on June 27.
The candidate’s proxy in Jizzakh region Bayrambek Uzakov opened the meeting. It was noted that major reforms have been carried out in the region under the leadership of Shavkat Mirziyoyev, cities and districts are developing in every possible way.
The candidate for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev presented his Election Program.
The candidate spoke about his plans to develop education in the region for the next seven years.
“Due to the creation of 400 new kindergartens, the region’s need for preschool education will be fully covered, 100 percent. By constructing new schools, increasing the capacity of existing ones, and supporting the private sector, an additional 75,000 student places will be created by 2030. As a result, no district will have classes with more than 30 children (currently, there are 1,000 such classes). All schools will have modern computer labs, interactive whiteboards, and educational laboratories. All kindergartens and schools will be provided with filtered drinking water”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
It was also announced that 85 medical institutions will be built and renovated in the next seven years in Jizzakh region.
“In particular, 12 branches of specialized centers will be opened in such areas as allergology, urology, and neurosurgery. Interdistrict perinatal centers will be opened in Gallaaral and Pakhtakor districts. In addition, children’s cardiac surgery will be established in the region. Due to this, complex operations will be performed annually for more than 500 children with heart disease”, the candidate noted.
In addition, special attention in the Election Program is paid to improving the living conditions of the region’s population.
“To meet the housing needs of our people by 2030, 500 multi-storey buildings will be built for 25,000 families. Attention to the problem of drinking water, which is the most urgent in the region, will increase. Next year, due to the construction of a 160-kilometer main pipeline from the Zarafshan River, water supply to 600,000 residents of Bakhmal, Gallaaral, Sharaf Rashidov, Dustlik, Pakhtakor, Mirzachul districts and the city of Jizzakh will dramatically improve. In 100 mahallas with difficult water supply, 2,000 kilometers of drinking water supply networks will be laid. As a result, 320,000 residents will be provided with clean drinking water for the first time. In general, by 2030, the provision of centralized water supply to the region’s population will be up to 90 percent”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized.
At the meeting, it was announced that the production of electric vehicles in cooperation with Chinese companies would be established in the region.
- A machine-building cluster will be launched in Jizzakh region. The total investment will be $700 million. In particular, due to investments in the amount of $80 million, together with Chinese companies, the production of an additional 50,000 cars per year will be launched. At the expense of $130 million in investments, the production of electric vehicles will be established. In the coming years, the volume of their output will be increased to 300 thousand units.
Along with this, together with Korean partners, within the framework of a $235 million project, the volume of car production will be increased to 200,000 units, – the candidate said.
Information was also given on plans for producing electricity in the region.
“A stable power supply is necessary for the development of industry. Solar stations worth $700 million with a total capacity of 750 megawatts will be launched in Farish and Gallaaral districts with companies from China and the United Arab Emirates. A modern combined cycle plant with a capacity of 450 megawatts will be built in Sharaf Rashidov district at the expense of direct investments of a Turkish company for $350 million. Also, 4,500 kilometers of electrical networks and more than 1,100 transformers will be updated”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted.
At a meeting with voters in Jizzakh region, the Presidential candidate spoke about his plans to support Uzbekistan’s talented and enterprising youth.
- In each district, on an area of at least 100 hectares, we will create youth socio-economic centers. These centers will become a real “project factory” for our youth and will receive the status of free economic zones. The centers will house project offices to help turn young people’s ideas into businesses. In addition, industrial zones and co-working spaces for start-up projects will appear on the territory of the centers.
A total of 210 youth industrial and entrepreneurial zones in the districts will be given the status of branches of these centers, and “project groups” will function in them, – the candidate said.
It was announced that now the funds of the “El-Yurt Umidi” fund will be allocated to young people who entered the Top 100 universities without additional exams.
“The number of young men and women entering the Top 100 universities in the world on a grant is increasing. It is necessary to support these talented young people, who are the “golden fund” of our country. Now they will receive funds from the “El-Yurt Umidi” fund without additional exams. Our children who received grants from the Top 500 universities will be fully reimbursed for the cost of airfare and accommodation. $200 million will be allocated annually for these purposes”, Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
It was noted that “Open Air Libraries” will be created in such tourist cities as Bukhara, Samarkand, Khiva, Termez, Shakhrisabz, and Kokand, as well as in the central parks of other cities and districts.
“At the same time, the initiator building the library at his own expense will receive 1,000 books with Uzbek and world literature masterpieces. The libraries will be equipped with computers at the expense of the state and connected to the database of the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi”, the candidate said.
At the meeting, representatives of the party noted that they would support the candidacy of Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and called on others to do the same.
