Spouses of Sultan of Oman and Egyptian President Visit National Museum

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Her Highness the Honourable Lady Assayida Ahd Abdullah Hamad Al Busaidi, Spouse of the Sultan of Oman, and Intisar El Sisi, Spouse of the President of Egypt, visited the National Museum in Muscat today. The distinguished guests were warmly welcomed upon their arrival by Jamal Hassan Al Moosawi, Secretary General of the National Museum.

During the visit, Her Highness and Mrs. El Sisi toured the museum’s galleries, where they were briefed on the rich history and civilization of the Sultanate of Oman. The museum’s exhibits provided a unique glimpse into Oman’s cultural heritage, spanning centuries of history.

A special focus was placed on the educational activities conducted by the museum’s learning center, with an artistic session presented to school students. The session highlighted the long-standing Omani-Egyptian relations, tracing back to the Pharaonic era, particularly through the trade of frankincense, which was exported from Oman to Egypt thousands of years ago.

At the conclusion of the tour, Mrs. El Sisi recorded a message in the museum’s senior visitors’ register, expressing her admiration for the exceptional antiquities displayed in the museum and the cultural significance of the exhibits.
