Trump Urges India and Pakistan to Cease Hostilities, Offers Mediation Support

Washington D.C., The Gulf Observer: Amid escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan, former U.S. President Donald Trump on Wednesday called for an immediate halt to hostilities between the two nuclear-armed neighbors and reiterated his willingness to assist in resolving their disputes.

Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office, Trump expressed concern over the ongoing conflict. “I want to see it stop. And if I can do anything to help, I will be there,” he said.

Describing the situation as “so terrible,” Trump emphasized his personal rapport with both countries. “I get along with both, I know both very well, and I want to see them work it out. I want to see them stop. They’ve gone tit-for-tat, so hopefully they can stop now,” he said.

The former president underscored the strong bilateral ties the United States shares with both India and Pakistan. “We get along with both countries very well, good relationships with both, and I want to see it stop. And if I can do anything to help, I will be there,” he repeated, signaling readiness to mediate if required.

Trump’s remarks come as tensions continue to rise following cross-border airstrikes, civilian casualties, and military retaliation, prompting international calls for de-escalation and diplomatic dialogue.
