Türkiye Emerges as a Global Leader in Drone Production and Defense Exports: Erdogan

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: Türkiye has established itself as a world leader in the production of uncrewed aerial vehicles (UAVs) and ranks 11th globally in defense industry exports, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Sunday.

Speaking at a meeting of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) in Ankara, Erdogan underscored the country’s advancements in defense technology.

“Тürkiye is a world leader in uncrewed aerial vehicle production and ranks 11th globally in defense industry exports,” he stated, highlighting the nation’s growing role in the international defense sector.

Erdogan further emphasized that the country stands on the brink of a significant transformation and an economic breakthrough. He noted that ongoing developments in the region are expected to accelerate this progress.

As part of this transformation, the Turkish government has introduced a comprehensive reform program under the “Century of Türkiye” initiative. The program aims to enhance national growth potential and productivity, laying the foundation for long-term economic stability and development.

The president also expressed optimism regarding the country’s efforts to eradicate terrorism. Calling for unity among Turks, Kurds, and Arabs, Erdogan urged national solidarity to dismantle the forces responsible for decades of violence.

“Inshallah, the days when the dark shadow of terror, violence, and weapons will completely lift from our country and region are very close,” he said.

Emphasizing the need for collective efforts, Erdogan stated, “We will come together as Turks, Kurds, and Arabs and destroy the wall of terror feeding on the blood of our children for 40 years.”

He further asserted that eliminating terrorism would unlock new political and economic opportunities for Türkiye and the region.

“After the issue of terror is resolved, the doors to a new era will open, including from democracy to development, from brotherhood to regional integration,” he remarked.

Erdogan’s statements reflect Türkiye’s commitment to strengthening its defense industry while simultaneously fostering economic growth and regional stability. As the country moves forward with its ambitious reform agenda, its strategic position in global defense markets continues to expand.
