UAE and Indonesia Strengthen Ties with Agreements Across Key Sectors
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and President Prabowo Subianto of Indonesia witnessed the announcement of several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) on Saturday, marking a significant step in the UAE-Indonesia strategic partnership.
The agreements, signed during the Indonesian President’s state visit to the UAE, span diverse fields including technology, renewable energy, healthcare, culture, and tourism. Other areas of collaboration include mining, infrastructure, government modernisation, investments, international shipping, and more, reflecting the commitment of both nations to fostering robust bilateral cooperation across public and private sectors.
The official exchange of agreements took place at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. Representing the UAE at the ceremony was Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, while Sugiono, Indonesia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed on behalf of Indonesia.
Speaking on the occasion, President Sheikh Mohamed emphasised the enduring bond between the two nations and their shared vision for sustainable growth and prosperity. He highlighted the agreements as pivotal in unlocking new opportunities for collaboration in critical global sectors.
President Prabowo Subianto expressed gratitude for the UAE’s hospitality and stressed Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening ties with the UAE through mutually beneficial initiatives.
This latest development underscores the dynamic partnership between the two countries, built on shared values and a collective ambition to drive innovation and progress on the global stage.
