UK: Final round of the Conservative leadership race
London, The Gulf Observer: Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss have made it through to the final round of the Conservative leadership race and will now go head-to-head as the battle for No 10 intensifies.
The contenders will face a series of heated hustings and debates over the coming six weeks as they attempt to set out their stalls to the Conservative Party.
The winner of the leadership contest will now be determined by the party’s 200,000 members, after both candidates made it through the five rounds of voting by MPs in Parliament.
Mr Sunak and Ms Truss will use the series of upcoming events to convince members that they have the answers to the critical issues of the day, including the cost-of-living crisis, war in Ukraine and rampant inflation.
