Uzbekistan and China Strengthen Strategic Partnership Through Parliamentary Cooperation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: A high-level delegation from the People’s Republic of China, led by Liu Jianchao, Member of the CPC Central Committee and Minister of the International Department, visited the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting with Chairperson of the Senate, Tanzila Narbayeva, both sides highlighted that mutual trust and friendly relations between the leaders of Uzbekistan and China have elevated their partnership to a strategic level. The discussion focused on furthering inter-parliamentary ties and enhancing cooperation across multiple sectors.
The importance of parliamentary diplomacy as a key mechanism for strengthening bilateral relations was emphasized, with both parties exchanging views on deepening practical dialogue within the framework of the upcoming 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, set to take place in Uzbekistan’s capital.
Liu Jianchao commended the progress made in bilateral relations and reiterated China’s commitment to expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan in various fields, including the economy, culture, tourism, and education.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their dedication to strengthening the strategic partnership and inter-parliamentary cooperation, underscoring their shared commitment to advancing mutual interests and regional stability.
