Uzbekistan and Poland Explore New Avenues for Agricultural Cooperation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan’s Minister of Agriculture, Ibrokhim Abdurakhmonov, held a meeting with a Polish delegation led by Leszek Iwaniuk, Deputy Director of the National Support Centre for Agriculture (KOWR), to discuss the enhancement of bilateral cooperation in the agricultural sector.

The meeting focused on the implementation of new joint projects, with both sides expressing interest in expanding collaboration in agrarian market analysis, efficient resource management, and the exchange of modern agricultural expertise. Discussions also covered livestock breeding, the development of small-scale agricultural machinery, and increased participation of entrepreneurs from both countries in international exhibitions.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Alisher Shukurov highlighted the success of the ongoing student exchange program and emphasized the mutual benefits of expanding educational cooperation in agriculture.

Particular attention was devoted to improving trade in fruit and vegetable products, including the import and export of high-quality produce. The Uzbek side welcomed the introduction of advanced Polish practices in horticulture and expressed interest in attracting Polish specialists to participate in Uzbekistan’s agricultural development initiatives.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of Uzbekistan and Poland to deepening their agricultural partnership through practical cooperation and knowledge-sharing, contributing to the modernization and sustainability of the sector.
