International Federation For Falconry Sports and Racing

Dubai, The Gulf Observer: The International Federation For Falconry Sports and Racing (IFFSR), chaired by H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, has announced the addition of nine new entities to its membership. This expansion increases the total number of federations and entities within the IFFSR to 25, representing a broad range of regions across the globe.

The announcement was made during a recent video conference meeting of the IFFSR’s Board of Directors, led by Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Vice President of IFFSR. The meeting saw unanimous approval of the membership applications from the newly admitted entities.

The new members joining the IFFSR include:

  • Kuwait Association for Falconry and Traditional Folk Games
  • Morocco’s Al-Sharafa Qawasem Association of Falconry
  • Morocco’s Al-Hassaniya Qawasemia Falconry Association
  • Pakistan’s Center for the Conservation and Rehabilitation of Birds of Prey
  • Lebanese Federation for Heritage and Traditional Sports
  • Mauritanian Federation For Traditional Sports and Games
  • Yemeni Association for Falconry Sports and Racing
  • Czech Association for Falconry Racing
  • Mongolian National Association for Falconry Sports and Racing

Sheikh Zayed welcomed the new members, highlighting their important roles in promoting and advancing the sport of falconry both nationally and internationally. He noted the sport’s growth and elevation to global standards, reflecting the increased interest in organizing and participating in falconry sports and racing events worldwide under IFFSR regulations.

Rashid bin Markhan, Secretary-General of IFFSR, underscored the significance of expanding the federation’s membership. He emphasized that a larger membership base fosters collaboration and brings diverse perspectives and ideas, all working towards advancing falconry to the highest international standards.
