Erdogan Vows to Prevent Israeli Attacks on Palestinians with Strong Defence Industry
Rize, The Gulf Observer: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on Sunday that Türkiye would intervene to prevent Israel’s attacks on Palestinians if Ankara’s defence industry continues to strengthen. Speaking in his hometown in the northeastern province of Rize, Erdogan highlighted Türkiye’s significant advancements in defence capabilities and expressed confidence in achieving further progress.
“Just as we entered Karabakh, just as we entered Libya, we can do the same to them. There is no reason not to do it. We just need to be strong so that we can take these steps,” Erdogan declared.
Erdogan also affirmed that Türkiye has severed all trade and diplomatic relations with Tel Aviv in response to what he described as Israel’s atrocities in Gaza. This move marks a significant escalation in Türkiye’s stance against Israel.
Regarding the visit of Palestinian National Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to Türkiye, Erdogan revealed that Ankara had extended an invitation, but Abbas was unable to accept. “We will carry out the next process accordingly,” Erdogan added.
Erdogan’s remarks underscore Türkiye’s commitment to bolstering its defence industry and taking decisive actions in international conflicts, positioning the country as a formidable player on the global stage.
