Kazakhstan and Thailand Finalize Visa Exemption Agreement

Astana, The Gulf Observer: The Government of Kazakhstan has formally approved an agreement with the Government of Thailand to exempt holders of national passports from visa requirements, according to NHC. The agreement, originally signed in Bangkok on April 23, 2024, marks a significant step in enhancing bilateral relations between the two nations.

The resolution is set to take effect immediately upon its signing, facilitating easier travel between Kazakhstan and Thailand for their respective citizens.

Under the terms of the agreement, nationals from each country with valid travel documents—those with at least six months of validity remaining—will be exempt from visa requirements for entry, exit, transit, or temporary stays of up to 30 days. Additionally, the agreement permits a cumulative stay of up to 90 days within any 180-day period without the need for a visa.

This agreement is expected to boost tourism, business exchanges, and cultural ties between Kazakhstan and Thailand, further strengthening the partnership between the two countries.
