Uzbekistan Celebrates 33rd Anniversary of State Flag Adoption with Special Event

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: On November 18, the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan marked the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the State Flag with a special spiritual and enlightenment event titled “33 Years to the State Flag!”

The event commenced with a welcoming speech from Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, who extended heartfelt congratulations to all attendees on this national occasion. He encouraged active participation in promoting respect and pride for the national flag, symbolizing unity and patriotism.

During the event, it was highlighted that recent amendments to the Law “On the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” affirm the right to display the flag’s image in public places, on building rooftops, and in both residential and work spaces, provided the flag is treated with due respect.

A creative session featured renowned members of the Union of Writers of Uzbekistan, including poets Fakhriddin Khait and Rustam Mirvohid. The discussions, centered on themes such as “The Role of the National Flag in the Life of the Country and People” and “My Flag is My Pride,” underscored the flag’s significance in fostering national identity and pride.

Participants celebrated the day with poetry dedicated to themes of patriotism, life, family, and love, enhancing the festive and reflective atmosphere of the gathering.
