Turkish Ambassador Meets Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan to Strengthen Pakistan-Turkiye Economic Ties
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, met with Federal Minister for Communications, Privatization, and Board of Investment Abdul Aleem Khan on Friday to discuss bilateral relations and areas of mutual interest.
In a comprehensive discussion, both sides emphasized strengthening mutual relations and enhancing bilateral trade. Ambassador Neziroglu highlighted the favorable conditions for cooperation between the two nations, stating, “The objectives are clear, the destination is the same, and Turkiye seeks to institutionalize business relations with Pakistan to build on the current cooperation.”
Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan praised Turkiye’s developmental model, expressing Pakistan’s intent to benefit from it. He stressed the adoption of optimal investment strategies, including joint ventures, to boost economic ties. “The friendly relations between Pakistan and Turkiye should be transformed into a robust business partnership,” he noted, citing ample investment opportunities in sectors like communications.
The minister underscored the significance of improving Pakistan’s road network for economic growth, stating, “Connecting regions through highways is key to progress.” He further highlighted the necessity of enhancing travel ease between the two countries, as improved connectivity would stimulate business activities. “Our job is to bring businesspeople closer, and the rest will follow,” he added.
Ambassador Neziroglu expressed gratitude to Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, assuring him of Turkiye’s unwavering support and cooperation. He also proposed adopting a viable model to foster bilateral investment, aiming to create profitable opportunities for businesses in both countries.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, reaffirming the commitment of Pakistan and Turkiye to fortify their brotherly relations and expand economic partnerships for mutual benefit.
