Pakistan and Iran Agree to Boost Bilateral Trade and Cooperation

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Pakistan and Iran have agreed to strengthen bilateral trade, economic cooperation, and people-to-people ties. The understanding was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the 21st D-8 Council of Foreign Ministers in Cairo, Egypt.
According to a press release from Pakistan’s Foreign Office, both leaders expressed satisfaction with the progress in bilateral relations, highlighting the increase in high-level political and economic exchanges.
Deputy Prime Minister Dar and Minister Araghchi also discussed the broader situation in the Middle East. During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Dar reiterated Pakistan’s longstanding support for Palestine, reaffirming the country’s principled position and solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The meeting underscored the mutual commitment of Pakistan and Iran to further enhancing cooperation across diverse sectors, reinforcing the historical and cultural ties between the two nations.
