Paris, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Spain, Princess Haifa bint Abdulaziz Al-Muqrin, formally presented her credentials as a non-resident ambassador to the Principality of Andorra to French President and Co-Prince of Andorra Emmanuel Macron. The official ceremony took place at the Élysée Palace in Paris.

Andorra, a sovereign landlocked nation in the eastern Pyrenees of Western Europe, is bordered by France to the north and Spain to the south. Governed as a parliamentary co-principality, it recognizes the President of France and the Bishop of Urgell in Spain as its co-princes. The country is renowned for its ski resorts and duty-free shopping, owing to its tax-haven status.

Princess Haifa, recognized as one of Saudi Arabia’s most influential female diplomats, was appointed as the Kingdom’s ambassador to Spain in January 2024. Prior to this role, she served as the Kingdom’s permanent representative to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) and worked for seven years at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

With extensive expertise in international institutional affairs, Princess Haifa has represented Saudi Arabia at various global forums. In recognition of her contributions to diplomacy and international cooperation, she has been awarded the prestigious King Abdulaziz Order of Excellence.
