Oana Țoiu Joins Navy Day and Assumption of Mary Celebrations in Constanța

The Romanian Naval Forces later staged an impressive demonstration at sea, showcasing their professionalism and readiness.
Minister Oana Țoiu highlighted the dedication and commitment of the Romanian Navy, thanking the men and women who serve today, those who wrote its history, and the cadets preparing for its future, as well as the families supporting them in their special careers.
The Black Sea holds strategic significance for Romania, NATO, the United States, and the European Union as:
- A commercial transit corridor
- An energy and digital connector via submarine cables
- A source of energy resources through offshore platforms
In the current complex security environment, Romanian sailors play a key role in securing maritime routes, protecting critical infrastructure, and strengthening alliances. From life-saving demining operations to international missions, the Romanian Naval Forces uphold freedom of navigation and regional peace.
The ceremony concluded with warm wishes for the Romanian Navy: “Fair winds and successful missions!”
