Saudi Arabia and Kuwait Strengthen Bilateral Ties at Third Coordination Council Meeting in Riyadh

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya jointly chaired the third meeting of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council in Riyadh on Monday, underscoring the two countries’ shared commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the meeting served as a continuation of the work carried out by various committees under the Council during 2025 and focused on reviewing progress in joint initiatives and identifying new areas of collaboration.

In his remarks, Minister Al-Yahya expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the Kingdom’s efforts in advancing the Council’s objectives and announced Kuwait’s readiness to host the fourth meeting of the Council.

At the conclusion of the session, the two sides signed four memoranda of understanding (MoUs) aimed at expanding cooperation in strategic fields:

  • A MoU on cooperation in radio and television,
  • A MoU in the field of economics and planning,
  • A MoU in the fields of science, technology, and innovation, and
  • A MoU on cooperation in public-private partnerships (PPPs).

The meeting reaffirmed the strong and historic relations between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, highlighting their shared vision for regional stability, sustainable development, and the deepening of cooperation in alignment with their respective national transformation programs.
