Seminar on “Innovation, Openness, and Shared Development” Held at the National Language Promotion Department, Islamabad

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: In line with the goals set under China’s 15th Five-Year Plan for achieving national and global social development, a significant seminar titled “Innovation, Openness, and Shared Development” was held at the National Language Promotion Department in Islamabad.
The event was jointly organized by the China Media Group and the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future. The seminar aimed to highlight China’s developmental vision, industrial innovation, and their positive impact on Pakistan as well as the international community.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Saleem Mazhar, Director General of the National Language Promotion Department, presided over the seminar. In his address, he noted that China has opened new avenues of progress through innovation-driven policies. Today, China stands as the world’s second-largest economy, and the fruits of its development are being shared across the entire region.
Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future, stated that China’s 15th Five-Year Plan places innovation and modern technology at the heart of its strategy, introducing comprehensive and forward-looking measures that ensure sustainable growth.
Muhammad Asim Khan Niazi, Project Director at the Ministry of Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, said that Pakistan’s youth can gain valuable lessons from China’s developmental experiences and its focus on innovation.
Speaking via video link from Beijing, Professor Wang Sixin of the Communication University of China said that China’s progress benefits not only its own people but also societies around the world. He emphasized that China’s upcoming plan places special focus on the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), noting that innovation is the true key to success. He added that strong China–Pakistan relations allow both nations to learn from each other’s experiences.
Chinese scholar Wu Jiahao praised President Xi Jinping’s leadership and developmental vision, describing the upcoming five-year planbased on social progress, innovation, and openness—as a model for the world.
Professor Dr. Hayam Qayoom from Bahria University, Islamabad, highlighted that collaboration between Pakistan and China can empower women in accordance with modern requirements, marking a new chapter in the social development of both countries.
Students participating in the event told CGTN Urdu that the world can achieve progress through innovation, research, and collaboration, following China’s example.
In conclusion, the speakers emphasized that China has attained a prominent global position through its policies of innovation, shared development, and openness, and that Pakistan should adopt similar principles to accelerate its own path toward progress.
